How to Build the Ultimate Outdoor Kitchen

Dining outside is a highlight of the warmer months. Igniting the electric teppanyaki, prepping feasts on bespoke worktops, pulling chilled bottles of champagne from built-in fridges, and even baking—all in the open air. Here is what you need to build the perfect outdoor kitchen.

Indoor-Outdoor Transition

Outdoor space requires a flow between the inside and outside. Materials play a large part, whether it’s extending the same flooring you have in your home or using the same countertop material inside and outside. Materials that offer unlimited applications are preferred.

All-Weather Design

Kitchens are designed for use in all but the harshest climates. Make sure to use quality materials that are corrosion resistant so that your outdoor kitchen is long lasting. Stainless steel is the go to choice, but is often used in combination with Corian, polished concrete, marble-effect ceramic, and solid timber.

Multifunctional Units

Create a modular design that is fully customizable based on your needs for entertaining. Both the front and the back of the ASA-D2 (seen in the image above) can be equipped with storage and integrated with other pieces such as small fridges. An outdoor kitchen island should be multifunctional, with a spot to prepare cocktails. Countertops should be made of a durable material impervious to the elements all set in an aluminum and stainless-steel body.

Cutting-Edge Technology

Gas cooktops, wet bars, freezers, ovens and more! You can invest in time saving infrasound technology that can bring a charcoal barbecue to temperature in under five minutes. This is twice that of a regular oven, allowing for every kind of food preparation. Our client’s also look to purchase pizza ovens, speciality wood-fire grills for Argentinian-style cooking, and dedicated smokers!

Space for Entertaining

Just add bar seating and you’re ready to entertain your party guests as you cook. It’s a place for relaxation and enjoyment for you and your guests. The ideal outdoor kitchen is more than just cooking appliances, you need plenty of room, and a good design that takes your prep, cooking, serving, and cleanup into account.
